The first time I saw a strudel, it was in the movie – ‘Inglourious Basterds.’ It looked yummy and instantly became one of the foods that I wanted to taste at least once in my lifetime. Now that would be possible if only I could find a strudel recipe that was vegan and easy to make at home.

Well, lucky me! I found something just like that. This recipe oversimplifies making a strudel. If you can find a vegan puff pastry sheet, fresh apple, and cinnamon powder and have an oven in your kitchen, you can make and enjoy a vegan strudel.

Of course, there are other more elaborate recipes to make vegan strudel, but let this one be the starting point of your quest for the vegan version of this amazing European dessert.

Let us see how to make the easiest vegan apple strudel. Remove cores from two fresh apples and peel them. Next, thinly spice the apples and mix some cinnamon powder.

Open a vegan puff pastry sheet and spread the sliced apple mix on it. Fold and close the pastry sheet from all sides, and bake it at 180°C for 15 to 20 minutes.

Cut the strudel in your desired shape and dust it with powdered sugar. Enjoy it.
