Tofu Master Minh Tsai is an entrepreneur with a master’s degree from Columbia University. He initially worked in investment banking, software & management consulting and later moved into tofu and yuba making under the brand name ‘Hodo.’ Within a span of 15 years, his company became one of the top suppliers of plant-based foods in the US.

Today, Hodo makes ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods for direct consumers and even supplies plant-based food ingredients to restaurant chains such as ‘Chipotle.’

This video comes straight from the Hodo Soy Beanery, Oakland, California, USA, in which Minh Tsai shares his Asian-style recipe for grilled tofu.

Firm tofu slices are marinated for 12 hours or longer in a paste made from ginger, garlic, salt, and a few spices. Later, the slices are lightly grilled on both sides. That is it, Asian-style grilled tofu is ready to be enjoyed.
